mythologies fond\u00e9es et absorb\u00e9es par le n\u00e9olib\u00e9ralisme, <em>Cas<\/em>cada interroge les interactions entre spiritualit\u00e9 et march\u00e9s financiers \u00e0 partir du sentiment de grotesque, impliquant le rejet face \u00e0 des associations impossibles, stimulant simultan\u00e9ment l&#8217;horreur et le rire. En qu\u00eate de nouveaux mythes post-capitalistes, <em>Cascada <\/em>propose une investigation des dynamiques de cooptations et de r\u00e9pressions culturelles caract\u00e9ristiques du n\u00e9olib\u00e9ralisme. Cette recherche part de la premi\u00e8re mise en pratique du n\u00e9olib\u00e9ralisme dans le coup d&#8217;\u00e9tat contre le pr\u00e9sident socialiste Chilien Salvador Allende en 1973. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Cascada<\/em> fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux nombreuses cascades du pays, mais \u00e9galement au scandale financier <em>Caso Cascada<\/em> qui manipulait, entre 2008 et 2011, des mouvements bancaires au sein de multiples entreprises. L&#8217;\u0153uvre est inspir\u00e9e d&#8217;un b\u00e2ton de pluie constitu\u00e9 \u00e0 partir d&#8217;un ancien store de supermarch\u00e9 cass\u00e9, trouv\u00e9 en marge d&#8217;une manifestation. La r\u00e9utilisation et le bricolage de ce d\u00e9chet du capital cherche \u00e0 reproduire le son d&#8217;une cascade. De petites enceintes diffusent le morceau <em>Everytime We Touch<\/em> du groupe d&#8217;eurodance allemand <em>Cascada<\/em>. L&#8217;ambivalence de ce succ\u00e8s commercial \u2013 nomm\u00e9 meilleur single de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e 2005 \u2013 est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e par son \u00e9tirement jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 imiter le son souhait\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des plantes glan\u00e9es lors d&#8217;une ballade avec l&#8217;application \u00e9sot\u00e9rique randonautica ornent la sculpture. Recouvert de cordes, de cha\u00eenes et de latex (une ressource cultiv\u00e9e en am\u00e9riques du sud source de colonisation), l&#8217;objet \u00e9voque un esclavagisme pervers. Par des glissements de significations, le simulacre fait r\u00e9appara\u00eetre la privatisation de l&#8217;eau et des communs op\u00e9r\u00e9e par le dictateur Chilien Augusto Pinochet.
