Le train produit un arch\u00e9type sonore de la modernit\u00e9 et des futurs perdus, mais ce son est ici \u00e9tir\u00e9 jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 questionner sa mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9. Le crissement des rails, les craquements des c\u00e2bles \u00e9lectriques et le battement m\u00e9canique des locomotives passent en effet \u00e0 une lenteur paradoxale. L&#8217;auditeur\u22c5rice peut avoir l&#8217;impression que quelque chose passe, m\u00eame quand l&#8217;objet de l&#8217;\u00e9coute est absent. Un trouble est cr\u00e9\u00e9 dans cette absence bruyante, ou au contraire dans le doublement de cette pr\u00e9sence venu se superposer au train, m\u00eame apr\u00e8s son passage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;installation peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre activ\u00e9e pour devenir  un syst\u00e8me son mutant, \u00e9tendu sur plusieurs dizaines de m\u00e8tres. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un programme permettant de g\u00e9rer la spatialisation le long de cette \u00ab ligne \u00bb de son, les artistes produisent un concert dans lequel le dispositif devient un instrument de musique.
